How does the side panel work on creator profiles?

The side panel is the heart of the extension. It's how you get real analytics on any TikTok creator without leaving TikTok.

How it triggers: Visit any TikTok creator profile (URLs that look like tiktok.com/@username). Within a second or two, the panel automatically slides out from the right side of the screen. You don't have to click anything.

How it captures data: As you scroll the profile normally, TikTok loads videos into your browser. The extension reads the data from those videos as they load and analyzes everything in real time. You don't have to scroll a specific amount or wait for anything to finish β€” you decide when you have enough data.

What changes as you scroll more:

  • Scroll 30 videos β†’ you get baseline stats but the engagement rate and median calculations are based on a small sample.

  • Scroll 100+ videos β†’ you get a much more accurate engagement rate, virality distribution, and posting pattern.

  • Scroll the entire profile β†’ you get the most complete picture, including the year-long posting heatmap and content category breakdown.

What you'll see in the panel:

  • Total views, likes, comments, shares, bookmarks

  • Real engagement rate based on actual interactions

  • Long vs short video breakdown

  • Common video durations chart

  • Daily posting frequency by day of week

  • Weekly posting frequency chart

  • Full year posting heatmap

  • Virality distribution (how each video performed vs the creator's own median)

  • Content category detection

  • Progress indicator (videos analyzed vs total library)

Common things people miss: The panel only appears on profile pages, not on the For You Page, individual video pages, or search results. If you don't see it, double-check you're on a tiktok.com/@username URL.
