Yes. TokScript has a free plan, and a free account gets you 5 transcripts and 5 translations a day with no credit card needed. When you need more, the paid plans remove the daily limit and cost $10 a month or $39 a year.

How to start on the free plan

  1. Go to tokscript.com and create a free account.
  2. Paste a TikTok, Instagram Reel or YouTube link and get the transcript. Step-by-step: How to transcribe a TikTok video and How to transcribe Instagram Reels.
  3. Use up to 5 transcripts and 5 translations a day. The count resets every 24 hours.
  4. If you need more, upgrade on the pricing page. You can stay on the free plan as long as you like.

How many transcripts can I download on the free plan?

Five transcripts a day, plus five translations. Here's what the free plan includes:

  • transcripts for TikTok videos, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and full-length YouTube videos, with no cap on video length
  • 50+ languages
  • your saved TokScript library, where every transcript you pull stays
  • the Chrome extension (TikTok only)
  • the TokScript connector in Claude, ChatGPT and other AI assistants

What do the paid plans add?

  • no daily limit on transcripts or translations
  • up to 50 links at once, mixing TikTok, Instagram and YouTube
  • TikTok collection and profile imports, up to 3,000 videos per link (profile pulls need a paid plan)
  • TikTok and Instagram video downloads in HD without the watermark
  • the three AI agents: Viral Hook Generator, Viral Script Writer and Virality Explainer

Monthly and Annual differ in one feature. Annual includes the REST API, with the same 22 actions as the TokScript connector, and it also costs less over a year. You'll always find current prices on the pricing page.

When does the free limit reset?

It resets every 24 hours, not at midnight.

Does the free plan work in ChatGPT and Claude?

It does. The TokScript connector works on a free account in Claude, ChatGPT and the other supported assistants, within the same 5 a day. Because the limit is shared, a transcript you pull in Claude counts the same as one you pull on the website. See Which AI assistants work with TokScript?.

Can I get a refund if I upgrade?

Yes. If you upgrade and change your mind, you can get a refund within 7 days, no questions asked.
