Why is my transcript showing as "Failed" status?

This occurs because there is no transcript available for that specific video. The "Failed" status specifically means the transcript doesn't exist on the source platform - not that TokScript failed.

Common Reasons for No Transcript:

  • Video has no spoken words (music only)

  • Video is too old (before automatic transcription)

  • Creator disabled captions

  • Platform transcription failed originally

  • Regional restrictions on transcripts
