How do I copy or download a transcript from a single TikTok video?

The single-video transcript feature is the fastest way to grab a transcript without going through your dashboard. Use it whenever you see a video you want to capture immediately.

How to use it:

  1. Open any TikTok video (either by clicking it from the For You Page, a profile, search results, or pasting a direct link).

  2. Look for the Transcript button added by the extension on the video page.

  3. Click it. You'll see two options: Copy Transcript and Download Transcript.

  4. Copy Transcript copies the full transcript to your clipboard. Paste it into Claude, ChatGPT, Notion, Google Docs, or anywhere else with Cmd+V (Mac) or Ctrl+V (Windows).

  5. Download Transcript saves the transcript as a file directly to your computer's default download folder.

What the transcript includes: Timestamps, formatted text, and clean line breaks. It's pre-formatted for AI tools so you can drop it straight into a prompt without cleanup.

What if a video has no transcript? Some videos genuinely don't have spoken audio (silent videos, music-only clips). In those cases the button will tell you no transcript is available. For videos in non-English languages, transcripts are returned in the original language.

If the button doesn't appear: Refresh the page once. If it still doesn't show, confirm the extension is enabled in chrome://extensions. If you're on a video that's been deleted or made private, the button won't work.
