The website and the AI connector use the same underlying engine and data. Here's how they compare.
Same core capabilities
Both the website and the AI connector let you transcribe TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube videos, download videos and cover images, process bulk uploads, import TikTok collections, and access your stored library. The data you get back is identical - same transcripts, same stats, same metadata.
Shared library
Your TokScript library is the same regardless of how you access it. Videos you transcribe on the website show up in your library when you query it through AI, and vice versa. Folders, bookmarks, and organizational structure are all accessible from both.
What's different about using AI
The AI adds a natural language interface. Instead of clicking buttons and navigating menus, you describe what you want in plain English. The AI also chains operations together intelligently - you can say "transcribe these 10 videos and tell me which one has the best engagement" and it handles the entire workflow.
The AI can analyze and interpret your data in ways the website can't. Once it has your transcripts and stats, you can ask it to find patterns, compare creators, suggest content ideas, rewrite scripts, identify trends, and generate reports - all conversationally.
What's only on the website
TokScript's built-in AI agents (Viral Hook Generator, Viral Script Writer, Virality Explainer) currently run on the website, not through the MCP connector. The full dashboard interface for folder management, visual history browsing, and account settings is website-only. The Chrome extension works independently from the MCP connector.
What's better through AI
Complex analysis and comparison tasks. Conversational workflows where you ask follow-up questions. Generating insights, summaries, or reports from your data. Any task where you'd describe what you want rather than navigate a UI. Working with your data alongside other AI capabilities like writing, brainstorming, or research.
Usage
Both the website and the AI connector draw from the same plan limits. There's no separate usage pool - a transcription counts the same whether it came from the website, the Chrome extension, or the AI connector.
