How to Download Videos and Cover Images Through AI

The TokScript MCP connector lets you download full videos (HD, no watermark) and cover images—all without leaving your chat.

Download a Video:

  1. In your chat, ask to download a video.

  2. The connector processes the request. For TikTok and Instagram, you'll get a download link for the full HD video with no watermark.

  3. YouTube videos can't be downloaded through the MCP connector (YouTube's terms of service). You can download YouTube Shorts, but not full YouTube videos.

Download Cover Images/Thumbnails:

  1. Ask for cover images.

  2. You'll receive links to download the cover/thumbnail image in HD.

Download Multiple Videos/Images:

  1. Paste a list of URLs.

  2. The connector processes each one and returns download links for all.

  3. If the list is large, you may get results in batches.

Important Notes:

  • HD, No Watermark: Downloads are always high-quality and have no TikTok/Instagram watermarks.

  • TikTok & Instagram Only: Full video downloads work for TikTok and Instagram Reels. YouTube Shorts and YouTube videos are not downloadable through the connector (YouTube's restrictions).

  • Covers Work Everywhere: Thumbnail/cover images are available for TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and YouTube.
