How to Connect TokScript to Claude

To use TokScript inside Claude (Claude Desktop, Claude Code, or Cowork), you'll need to set up the MCP connector through your platform's settings.

Steps:

  1. Open your Claude application (Claude Desktop, Claude Code, or Cowork).

  2. Go to Settings > Connected Services or Integrations.

  3. Search for "TokScript" or scroll to find it in the available connectors.

  4. Click "Connect" or "Enable."

  5. You'll be redirected to TokScript's OAuth login page. Sign in with your TokScript account.

  6. After authentication, you'll be asked to approve access. Click "Authorize" to confirm.

  7. You'll be redirected back to your Claude application. The connector is now active.

If you don't have a TokScript account yet, click "Sign up" on the OAuth page, create your account, and complete the authorization flow.

Once connected, you can mention TokScript features in your chat naturally—like "Transcribe this TikTok for me" or "Get the engagement stats for this YouTube video." The connector will handle the request through the MCP integration.

What you need before starting

A TokScript account (free or paid). A Claude account at claude.ai with access to MCP connectors (requires a Claude Pro or Team plan).

Step-by-step setup

Step 1 - Open Claude and go to your settings. Click the menu icon in the bottom-left corner of the Claude interface, then select "Settings."

Step 2 - Navigate to the "Integrations" or "Connected Apps" section. This is where Claude manages all MCP connectors.

Step 3 - Click "Add Integration" or "Add MCP Connector." You'll be prompted to enter a connector URL.

Step 4 - Enter the TokScript MCP endpoint URL: https://api.tokscript.com/mcp

Step 5 - Claude will redirect you to the TokScript login page. Sign in with your TokScript account using either your email and password or Google Sign-In.

Step 6 - After logging in, you'll be asked to authorize the connection. Click "Allow" or "Authorize" to grant Claude access to your TokScript account.

Step 7 - You'll be redirected back to Claude. You should now see the TokScript icon (the TokScript logo) in your connector list, confirming the connection is active.

How to verify it's working

Start a new conversation in Claude and type something like: "Transcribe this TikTok video: [paste any TikTok URL]." If the connection is working, Claude will pull the transcript, video metadata, and engagement stats directly from TokScript.

Troubleshooting

If the login page doesn't load, make sure you're using the exact URL: https://api.tokscript.com/mcp. If Google Sign-In isn't redirecting properly, try clearing your browser cookies and attempting the connection again. If you see a rate limit error, wait a moment and try again.
