I installed the extension but the side panel isn't showing up. What do I do?

Most side panel issues come from one of these causes. Work through them in order.

  1. You're not on a profile page. The side panel only appears on tiktok.com/@username URLs, not the For You Page, individual videos, or search results.

  2. The page needs a refresh. Hit Cmd+R / Ctrl+R after installing.

  3. The extension is disabled. Go to chrome://extensions, find TokScript, make sure the toggle is on.

  4. The extension needs permissions. Click the puzzle piece icon, click TokScript, allow site access on tiktok.com.

  5. Cache issue. Clear your browser cache for tiktok.com and reload.

  6. Conflicting extension. Other TikTok or content blocker extensions can interfere. Try disabling them one at a time.

  7. Outdated version. Check chrome://extensions for an update.

If none of this works, contact support with your Chrome version, OS, and the profile URL where the issue happens.
