How to use the Translate / Retranslate feature

TokScript's Translate feature lets you convert any transcript into 11+ languages instantly.

Supported languages: Portuguese, Spanish, Mandarin, French, Hindi, Arabic, German, Japanese, Korean, Indonesian, and Turkish. More languages are being added based on user demand.

How to translate during extraction:

  1. Paste a video link into TokScript (on the dashboard or landing page)

  2. Before or after processing, select your target language from the Translate dropdown

  3. The transcript comes back translated, keeping the meaning and tone of the original

How to retranslate a saved transcript:

If you've already extracted a transcript and want to translate it later (or into a different language), you can do that from the transcript detail page in your dashboard. Click the Translate button, pick your language, and get a fresh translation without re-scanning the video.

Through MCP (Claude/ChatGPT):

You can also translate transcripts directly through the MCP connector. Just ask Claude or ChatGPT to translate a TokScript transcript and specify the target language.

Limits:

  • Free plan: 5 translations per day

  • Paid plan: Unlimited translations

Translate is available on the dashboard, the main TokScript landing page, and through MCP connectors. It's not currently available in the Chrome Extension.
