How to Connect TokScript to ChatGPT

Connecting TokScript to ChatGPT follows a similar process to Claude. Here's the full walkthrough.

What you need before starting

A TokScript account (free or paid). A ChatGPT account with access to custom connectors/plugins (ChatGPT Plus or Team plan).

Step-by-step setup

Step 1 - Open ChatGPT and navigate to your settings or the plugin/connector menu.

Step 2 - Look for "Custom GPTs," "Plugins," or "Actions" - the exact location depends on your ChatGPT version. Select the option to add a new custom connector or action.

Step 3 - When prompted for the connector URL or API endpoint, enter: https://api.tokscript.com/mcp

Step 4 - ChatGPT will detect the TokScript connector and redirect you to the TokScript login page. Sign in with your email/password or Google Sign-In.

Step 5 - Authorize the connection by clicking "Allow" when prompted. This grants ChatGPT permission to use your TokScript account on your behalf.

Step 6 - You'll be redirected back to ChatGPT. The TokScript connector should now appear in your active connectors with the TokScript logo.

How to verify it's working

Start a new conversation and ask ChatGPT to transcribe any video by pasting a TikTok, Instagram, or YouTube URL. If it returns a transcript with video stats, you're all set.

Key differences from Claude setup

The core process is the same - enter the endpoint URL, log in, authorize. The only differences are in where ChatGPT places its connector settings within its interface, which may vary as OpenAI updates their UI. The TokScript endpoint URL and login flow are identical regardless of which AI platform you're connecting to.
