I'm Getting "Limit Reached" or Usage Errors
Fix free plan daily limits, Pro/Premium feature restrictions, and usage counting through the MCP connector.

The MCP connector respects your plan's daily limits. If you're hitting limits, here's what's happening and what to do.
Understanding Daily Limits:
Free Plan:
5 transcripts per day.
5 translations per day.
Everything else (downloads, stats, lookups, imports): Unlimited.
Paid Plans (Monthly or Annual):
Unlimited transcripts.
Unlimited translations.
Everything else: Unlimited.
How Limits Reset:
Daily limits reset at 12:00 AM UTC (midnight Coordinated Universal Time). If you're in a different time zone, that time will differ locally. For example:
US Eastern: 7:00 PM previous day.
US Pacific: 4:00 PM previous day.
UK: 12:00 AM (midnight).
"Limit Reached" Error:
If you see this error:
You've hit your daily transcript or translation limit.
Wait until your limit resets (see times above) and try again.
Or upgrade to a paid plan to get unlimited usage immediately.
Why You Might Hit Limits Faster Than Expected:
Retranslations Count: If you translate the same transcript multiple times, each translation counts toward your daily limit.
Bulk Requests: A bulk transcription of 10 videos counts as 10 toward your daily limit (not 1).
Timezone Confusion: If you're transcribing near midnight UTC, the limit may reset between requests.
How to Avoid Hitting Limits:
On Free Plan:
Plan your transcriptions. You get 5 per day, so prioritize your top 5 videos.
Save retranslations for paid use, or request a translation in a specific language upfront instead of translating multiple times.
Use engagement stats and lookups instead of transcribing when you just need basic info.
Upgrade to Paid:
If you regularly need more than 5 transcripts per day, upgrade to save money and time:
Monthly: $10/month. Cancel anytime.
Annual: $39/year. Best value at $3.25/month.
Both paid plans include unlimited transcripts, translations, and everything else.

Upgrade through TokScript's website. We use LemonSqueezy for billing (not Stripe). You can cancel your subscription anytime—no questions asked.
Check Your Usage:
On the TokScript website, go to Account > Usage to see:
How many transcripts you've used today.
How many translations you've used today.
Your plan type.
When your limit resets.
